April 7, 2021
Abstract:
On June 15, 2020, the U.S. Supreme Court held in Bostock v. Clayton County, Georgia1 that Title VII’s prohibition of workplace sex discrimination also prohibits workplace discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity. This article describes that case and also discusses Ohio state and local laws providing workplace protections for LGBTQ individuals based on sexual orientation or gender identity.
